THE PLATONIC SOLIDS • The Geometry of Physical Matter

The Platonic Solids, named for the Greek philosopher Plato who rediscovered them. These geometric shapes are well documented by ancient cultures, predating Plato by several millennia. Indeed, these were well understood by Ancient Egyptians, and the oldest record dates back to potentially 34,000BC! 

Yet this sacred ancient knowledge is now confirmed by modern science.

Platonic Solids are polygons with perfect symmetry. Each face has equal size and shape, each edge has equal length, and all vertices fit perfectly inside a sphere.

These geometric shapes are the foundation of all matter within the universe.

There are five Platonic Solids, each of which was associated with one of the elements that the Greeks believed composed the universe:

• Tetrahedron: four triangle faces associated with Fire
• Cube: six square faces associated with Earth
• Octahedron: eight triangle faces associated with Air
• Dodecahedron: twelve pentagram faces associated with Aether or Spirit
• Icosahedron: twenty triangle faces associated with Water

These physical Geometric shapes are the foundation of the structure of every atom on the periodic table, and thus the foundation of all matter in the physical universe.
